What’s In Season

What’s In Season

FRUIT

MANGOES: Queensland mangoes are in season and tasting great. Honey Golds are a little scarce but excellent eating, while KP mangoes are great value in both trays and singles.

TROPICAL FRUIT: Watermelons are good value and perfect for hot days (leftovers freeze well for smoothies or frappes). Rockmelons are slightly scarce, honeydew is very limited, and pineapples are scarce but are eating beautifully. Australian lychees are in season and tasting fantastic.

CHERRIES: It’s shaping up to be a great cherry season, with no major weather events affecting crops so far. Plenty of quality box and loose options available.

GRAPES: The Australian grape season is well underway and warming up nicely.

CITRUS: Lemons are out of season, so prices remain high. Limes, however, are abundant and of great value.

BERRIES: Festive demand has pushed berry prices up, but quality is strong across the board — including blackberries.

PASSIONFRUIT: Panama passionfruit is available, while black passionfruit remains scarce.

STONEFRUIT: Another excellent season for peaches and nectarines. Yellow peaches and yellow nectarines are our top picks, with plums also starting to come into their own.

VEGETABLES

TOMATOES: All varieties are eating well. Heirloom tomatoes are our top pick for consistent flavour, while cherry tomatoes are great value.

ASPARAGUS: Australian asparagus is still available.

BEANS & PEAS
Snap peas are very scarce at the moment, with prices reflecting limited supply.

AVOCADO: Abundant and great value.

GOOD VALUE / RECOMMENDED: Corn, zucchini, carrots, lettuce, cauliflower, spring onion and squash.

SCARCE: Sweet potato.

FLOWERS: A beautiful range of natives in season, including flowering gum, Christmas bush and banksia. Peonies are also in season, along with double oriental lilies and Christmas (November) lilies.
