Ziggys Fresh is a family-owned business of third-generation fruiterers.
Founders Henry and Winifred Irvine opened their first store in Yass in 1953. This site was originally a Neptune Service Station. Since those early days, the Irvine family has gone on to open stores in Young, Cootamundra, Wagga and Canberra.
The store carries a wide range of continental groceries, free range eggs, dairy, gelatos, nuts & snack food and the widest range of seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables, including a selection of the best value Organics available, sourced from local and interstate growers and the Sydney and Melbourne Markets.
Ziggys has become a real destination shop renowned for its quality and freshness, backed by their money-back guarantee. Owners Ken and Toni, along with their son Todd and his wife Susie, take pride in their customer service, which has earned them the reputation of Canberra’s most awarded greengrocer since 2009 by the Sydney Markets secret shopper program.
Ziggys is also a Montague Orchards preferred store. Montague is one of Australia’s largest apple and stone fruit growers, with farms in Batlow, Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia. This partnership allows Ziggys to offer the best quality direct from the grower, at the best price, along with exclusive varieties grown by Montague.
