Barry Hawke opened “Barry Hawke’s Butchery” at the Fyshwick Markets back in 1984. Since then, his store has been providing great value meat and excellent products to the people of Canberra and surrounding regions.
Their mission is to supply the freshest quality meat and small goods at the most competitive price possible. The shop is spacious and inviting, making your shopping experience a convenient and pleasurable one.
With many years in the meat processing industry, Barry brought special knowledge and expertise to everything he did, and this tradition has been carried on by his son Ron Hawke.
Almost all their products are bought from local abattoirs and processed on-site. Because of this, they can guarantee the freshest quality meat and have minimal reliance on boxed-vacuum-packed meat.
There are three butchers and seven to eight casual employees who take great care in providing only the best quality and freshest meat to their customers.
The Barry Hawkes Butchery team is happy to provide you with any advice on how to best use their goods and will prepare and package them according to your needs.
Choose from a huge range of quality products, including beef, lamb, pork, chicken, small goods and a variety of gourmet sausages. You won’t be disappointed!
